Brown Bag Summer Recap

Well, the summer just flew by, didn’t it? Here we are in the season of haunts, crisp air, foliage, and saving up for the holidays. It’s been a hot minute since we’ve been in touch, so here’s a little run down of what Brown Bag has been up to.

All four libraries (Rocket Science, Firepower, Grab Bag and Ripped) brought you timely late night television show clips and other audio surrounding media buzz like Casey Anthony’s sentencing, the final space shuttle launch, and the presidential address on debt talks. Production for remembering 9/11 was also featured on all services.

Updates also included the usual healthy dose of effects, imaging, loops and beds including contest drama elements, morning “getting ready”/school sounds, listener reactions, concert promo pieces and more.

Firepower provided artist set-ups focusing on the likes of “The Who” and “Aerosmith,” along with imaging promoting your station’s smartphone app, “text us,” and noon features; plus idea-starters plugging a station summer’s end “Party in the Park” or “Commuter Comedy.” Also posted, production for new movie releases, imaging inspired by the helmet-crashing of football and baseball stadium organ music.

Ripped shot some ear-catching hilarity your way with anti-jingles about erotic massage and being broke. Other imaging focused on “boobie traps,” flash mobs, your station’s internet stream, and “Greatest Music.” Beds ranged from traffic checks and Hollywood minute, to grudge, carnival polka, “Transiberian Godfather,” and “Tekno Trash.”

Rocket Science put out some morning show liners, Labor Day and State Fair material, a Britney Spears concert ticket promo, the Uncle Sam Jam bed, creative imaging like the “Defriend on Facebook” piece, and new music teasers for Gavin Degraw and Lady Antebellum. Now, you can find promos for new movie releases (Contagion, Bucky Larsen, Abduction, 50/50) and a sweeper for a “Romantic Fall Color Drive.”

Grab Bag is the convenience store housing all your multi-format needs with morning show and station reactions, a huge variety of loops (from “GangsnThugs” to Talk), whooshes/frags, concert sweepers, and beds galore (“70’s TV theme,” “Gentle Wake-Up,” “Future Traffic,” “Auto Rock,” and “Major League Goofball”).

We hope you had an amazing summer! Rest assured, we will be providing you with everything you need for the upcoming holiday insanity. As always, we welcome your suggestions. Feel free to email feedback and requests to cheidemann (at) premiereradio (dot) com.
