A few questions...
1. When oil began gushing into the Gulf of Mexico, who did News/Talk stations turn to for 'ready-to-air-in-minutes' production and imaging content which highlighted the plight of Gulf Coast residents whilst complementing their breaking (and, unfortunately, 'ongoing') news reports?
2. When the time came to thank mom for another year of, well, just being mom...who created all of the sweepers, promos, and drops for her favorite radio station? She heard them on the air, and felt like the most magical mother in the world!
3. When your listeners were looking for movie suggestions last weekend, who made that pretty cool jingly sweeper thing they heard on the radio? It had an Iron Man 2 theme and, as luck would have it, tickets were still available for the 9.20pm screening!
4. When the sun finally peeps out from behind the clouds (that's except for the lucky folks of Florida!), who understands that you need to devote more time to refining your summer wardrobe than producing summer imaging for your radio station? It takes time to tuck in that muffin top and find the perfect pair of socks for those sandals. We feel your pain!
5. When someone thought he'd be able to, you know, casually slip a car bomb into one of the the most populated and photographed locations in the entire world and get away with it - who was on top of the story, providing a constant stream of fully produced imaging and promo pieces as news broke, the story developed, and the Times Square terror suspect was named and shamed?
6. When Idol contestants are shown the door each week, you (like an ever-increasing number of Americans) just don't care. You're busy running a radio station. Unfortunately, despite your lack of interest and ever-increasing workload, your radio station still needs to keep its finger on the pulse and update its listeners on news of this week's biggest loser. Who TiVo's every episode, savors every song, laughs at every awkward joke between Ryan and Simon, and, painstakingly, produces a ton of sweepers and promos to get on the air instantly each week?
7. When the curtain fell on the 45th ACM awards back in April, which service instinctively jumped into production mode to ensure its affiliates had a bucket load of recap promos to air the following morning?
The answer - Production Vault.
Imaging your (CHR/AC/HOT AC/COUNTRY/ROCK/URBAN/NEWSTALK) station is getting easier every minute!
