September 2009 marked the next milestone in the evolution of Production Vault, as the ReelWorld and PV crews worked around-the-clock to release the new v2.0 website and content delivery engine.
This is the first major revision of the Production Vault sites since the launch of CHR back in 2006. Ah yes, 2006...the year when Steve Thomas (ReelWorld’s head honcho) and Steve Pigott (former Production Director of Kiss 100/London and founder of Puretonic Media/UK) devised their plan for production domination.
After aiming initially at the CHR world, the Production Vault revolution quickly spread across the United States and beyond. Super-producers including Z100’s Dave Foxx championed this new breed of production service and, thanks to the competition-slaying combination of stellar word-of-mouth testimonials and a lot of hard work behind the scenes at ReelWorld and Premiere, Production Vault was becoming the service of choice…at an incredible rate!
Production Vault was first with such groundbreaking never-before-seen innovations such as, uhhhh, shopping cart downloads and zip file archives. You know, the kind of stuff that had been around for years…only not in a production service.
Now, in 2009, the new v2.0 engine, initially tested by PV ‘Rock’ and ‘Newstalk’ users, makes workflow faster than ever before, thanks to an array of features including an ingenious new audition and download engine, full site-wide search functionality, one-click audio sorting, pretty colors, and a new video screen to help pass the time as you bounce out your final mixes.
We hope you have fun with the new super-charged PRODUCTION VAULT!
